چکیده

We study static non-axial octupole deformations in proton-rich Z = N nuclei, Ge, Se, Kr, Sr, Zr and Mo, by using the Skyrme Hartree-Fock plus BCS calculation with no restrictions on the nuclear shape. The calculation predicts that the oblate ground state in Se is extremely soft for the Y33 triangular deformation, and that in Zr the low-lying local minimum state coexisting with the prolate ground state has the Y32 tetrahedral deformation. We study the disintegration of nuclei by strong electromagnetic fields induced by ultrarelativistic heavy ions. The proposed multi-step model includes 1) the absorption of a virtual photon by a nucleus, 2) intranuclear cascades of produced hadrons and 3) statistical decay of the excited residual nucleus. The combined model describes well existing data on projectile fragmentation at energy 200 G...

The deuteron deep inelastic unpolarized structure function FD 2 is calculated using the Wilson operator product expansion method. The long distance behaviour, related to the deuteron bound state properties, is evaluated using the Bethe–Salpeter equation with one particle on–mass–shell. The calculation of the ratio F 2 D/2F 2 N is compared with other convolution models showing important deviatio...
